GENERATION I G01.1 Specification

E specially developed for split air conditioning systems and heat pumps in which repeated coupling / decoupling of the stop valves is only expected sporadically (see technical data). J T he European standard 378 for refrigeration systems and heat pumps requires in part 2 a sufficient number of stop valves in order to reduce the risk of loss of refrigerant to a minimum. Companion valves of Generation I consist of a pair of mating self-closing stop valves, which reliably prevent refrigerant from exit, especially during maintenance work. T he companion valves of Generation I meet the requirements of DIN EN 378-2: 2018-04; item 5.2 - Safety requirements for components and piping. G eneration I companion valves meet the requirements of Regulation (EU) No. 517/2014 on fluorinated greenhouse gases with regard to maximum permissible leakage rates of up to 50 couplings and decouplings. S eals made of Chloroprene rubber (CR) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) ensure a wide temperature range and chemical resistance to refrigerants and refrigeration oils. V alve bodies made of brass M ale stop valves with SAE internal thread for flared joint (with pressed-in copper sealing ring) and female stop valves with soldering sleeves for pipes with inch diameter

T ECHNICAL AND C ONSTRUCTIVE F EATURES The companion valves, consisting of mating, self-closing stop valves in accordance with EN 378-1: 2018-0; 3.5.11, are factory made valves for refrigeration and air conditioning technology as well as heat pumps and meet the requirements of EN 378-1: 2018-04, EN 378-2: 2017-03 and EN 14276-2 and are in accordance with EN 12284 : 2003 approved. In particular, the requirements of EN 378-2: 2017-03 items 5.2.2.2 and 5.2.2.3 for the installation of special components and pipelines are met. The maximum permissible leakage rates from the standard and Regulation (EU) No. 517/2014 are undercut by at least half when connected.
